Welfare Scouts (1-8/05)

The Welfare Scouts was a street punk band, and the first real band I ever played in. We formed in Jan of 05 and broke up in Aug of that year. During our time as a band we played I think 10 shows. We released a demo in the summer, but never really "recorded." We were too broke to afford to go to a studio and none of us knew how to do home recording, so we recorded the whole thing on a boom box. Nate Corbin was a huge help in transferring our tapes into mp3s on his computer, so we could put them out on cdr and hand them out. I still have a lot of great memories from this band. Being it was a great experience for me, and I met a lot of great people.

Line up:
Zach Williams - vocals
Tucker Hartland - bass
Jarred Dodson - drums
Miles Claibourn - guitar

Skeletons

Skeletons was a straight edge hardcore punk band that lasted from the fall of 06 to the summer of 07. In their short time as a band, they put out a ripping demo, played a lot of Redding shows, and did a short tour with Set It Straight. Their demo is still awesome to me. It has great lyrics, and it's own unique sound. Skeletons' sound was a mixture of cut and dry hc with some oi influences. After Skeletons broke up Joey, Kyle, and Harry went off to form Separation, and Jared and Josh went on to form A Public Infection (later known as Damaged). Skeletons was an awesome band, and I had a lot of fun going wild with friends at the shows they played.
