Ripped to Shreds was a short lived thrashcore band that formed in the spring of 2012 and lasted until the late summer. Ethan Campos and I were living together that spring, and he suggested one afternoon while we were at Los Gordos to form a thrashcore band. Now there are two things I'm a total sucker for, one being short/fast songs and the other being thrown together projects. So it wasn't hard for Ethan to convince me to form the band with him ha. It was rad how fast we were able to throw together the band and demo. We wrote the whole demo in two days, and recorded it a month later ourselves in Josh Eermy's garage (aka Emery's Dungeon). And despite being a thrown together band and only playing a handful of local shows, there was a lot of different people who told us how much they loved our band. I'm still completely blown away by how many of them were from outside of Redding. A number of them we're from, Sothern/Central CA, Canada, the East Coast, South America, Europe, and even Australia. Pretty weird for a band that never toured or promoted its self very much. Definitely one of my favorite projects I've been a part of. Wish we could have done more, but it was rad while it lasted.
