The Separation formed in 2007 after the brake up of Set It Straight and quickly became a strong and successful band in its own right. They wasted no time getting things rolling right from the beginning. They played their first show in the late summer of 2007, recorded their demo that fall, and played a west coast tour with Restrained that winter. Hard working and well organized qualities you can't help but look up to. Their demo still rips to me. The music on it is a mix of hardcore bands like Left For Dead, Catharsis, and Chokehold along with passionate and thought provoking lyrics. Truly a killer demo from a band that would only continue to get better in time.
